As of June 1st, 2016, all volunteer coaches of any youth team are required to complete the appropriate CSA / BC Soccer coaching course respective to the age group of the team(s) they are currently coaching. Under BC Soccer guidelines, all head coaches must comply with this requirement within 6 months of their appointment; CSA foreign equivalency may be applied.
Coaches will be fully reimbursed for any costs incurred to take these required courses. Properly certified coaches are also awarded a $100 refund of their child's registration fees for the season that they take the course.
Please note: If you are coaching in the ages U6-U12 you are required to complete the age appropriate course(s) even if you have a higher level of certification (ie. Soccer for Life, B pretest, C License, B License or A License).
