Coach Pathway and Certification

BCSA mandates that all coaches of any youth team are required to complete the appropriate CSA coaching courses respective to the age group of the team(s) they are currently coaching.

KYSA is committed to ensuring that all coaches, assistant coaches, and co-coaches achieve at least the minimum required certification by the end of 2026. This initiative reflects our dedication to providing a safe, positive, and development-focused environment for all players and coaches.

Coaches will be reimbursed for the successful completion of their Grassroots courses:

Active Start U4-U6

Fundamentals U7-U9

Learn to Train U9-U13

Soccer for Life U13-U18

Please note: If you are coaching in the ages U6-U12 you are required to complete the age appropriate course(s) even if you have a higher level of certification (ie. Soccer for Life, C License or higher).
