Team Selection Guidelines

KYSA Grassroots Team Selection

Each season teams may undergo significant changes as new players are added and reorganization is completed. 

KYSA believes that Grassroots players benefit from working with a variety of coaches, and that soccer is not only an opportunity to develop physical skills but a chance to meet new friends.  

The children of KYSA Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Team Managers will be placed on their team, but they will not have the opportunity to select other players on the team.  

Parents can be helpful in encouraging their children to accept change positively, and learn from new coaches, new friends and new opportunities.  Although requests for specific coaches or teammates may be noted on file, KYSA does not guarantee that requests for team placement will be granted.
